Smashed Green Onion Potato Bombs

Outside they are crunchy but fluffy on the inside. They are full of flavor! These Smashed Green Onion Potato Bombs are perfect as a snack, side dish, or party bites. These potato balls are crunchy, savory and downright addictive with their filling of green onions, garlic, and cheesy goodness in them.

Ingredients

  • 1½ pounds baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 3–4 green onions, finely sliced
  • Optional: sour cream, chili flakes, fresh herbs for garnish

Ingredient Notes

Baby Potatoes 

Small, paper-thin-skinned potatoes are ideal. They steam quickly and crack open perfectly when smashed.

Green Onions 

These give a sharp, fresh kick. Use the bright greens and the milder whites for full taste.

Cheese 

Any shredded cheese-cheddar, mozzarella, or even Parmesan-melts into a gooey, crusty finish.

Garlic & Seasonings

 Basic spices let the onions shine without fighting their flavor.

Instructions

Boil the Potatoes

Place the potatoes in a large pot of interspersed water. pustule until chopstick- tender( about 15 – 18 twinkles). Drain and let cool slightly.

Smash & Season

Preheat roaster to 425 °F( 220 °C). Line a baking distance with diploma.

Place the potatoes on the distance and gently smash each bone with a chopstick or the bottom of a glass to flatten.

Singe Until crisp

Singe for 20 – 25 twinkles, or until golden and crisp around the edges. In the last 5 twinkles, sprinkle green onions over the top.

Serve & Enjoy

Serve warm with sour cream, chili flakes, or your favorite dipping sauce. These are crisp, inelegant, and full of flavor!
