½ mug cornmeal( or breadcrumbs for a finer crunch)
½ tsp garlic greasepaint
½ tsp onion greasepaint
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp swab( plus further for smattering)
¼ tsp black pepper
2 eggs
2 tbsp milk or water
oil painting for frying( vegetable, canola, or peanut)

Mushrooms Button or cremini work stylish. Keep them whole if small, or slice in half if large.
Cornmeal Adds an redundant crunch. Can be substituted with panko or regular breadcrumbs.
Spices Feel free to acclimate seasoning to taste — add cayenne for heat or dried sauces for flavor.
Egg Wash Helps the coating stick and form a crisp crust.
Instructions
1. Prep the Mushrooms
Gently clean mushrooms with a damp cloth or paper kerchief.
Pat dry completely — this helps the coating stick and prevents oil painting splatter.
2. Set Up Breading Stations
Bowl 1 Flour
Bowl 2 Beaten eggs mixed with milk or water
Bowl 3 Cornmeal( or breadcrumbs) mixed with garlic greasepaint, onion greasepaint, paprika, swab, and pepper
3. Bread the Mushrooms
Dip mushrooms in flour, shaking off excess.
Dip into egg marshland.
Roll in seasoned cornmeal/ breadcrumb blend until well coated.
Place on a plate or charger.
4. Fry the Mushrooms
Heat oil painting in a deep visage to 350 °F( 175 °C). You need at least 2 elevation of oil painting.
Shindig mushrooms in batches for 2 – 3 twinkles, turning as demanded, until golden brown and crisp.
Remove with a slotted ladle and drain on paper apkins or a line rack.
5. Serve
Sprinkle with redundant swab while hot.
